2008: The Great Orange Charity Drive: Paint for Change

The idea behind this drive is to paint one children’s charity home a month over the course of five months from August until December 2008. Paint for Change is a mini restoration project to touch up a peeling façade, and also affirm what a sense of accomplishment selfless giving of time and resources can bring.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

outLOUD STUDIOS AND NIPPON PAINT MALAYSIA PARTNER IN CSR DRIVE FOR CHILDREN’S HOMES.

Paint drive brings colour to children’s homes.

Petaling Jaya – outLOUD Studios Sdn Bhd a globally recognized company specializing in the business of people and brand confidence development announced today that a five month community project called The Great Orange Charity Drive – outLOUD Paint for Change has been made possible through the generous contribution of Nippon Paint Malaysia (NPM).

Widely acknowledged as one of the major paint manufacturers in Malaysia not only in terms of its production capacity but also through impressive volume generated in terms of annual sales turnover, Nippon Paint Malaysia is also a company committed to provide opportunities and resources to help develop individuals to experience their fullest potential a trait shared by outLOUD Studios.

The project will commence in August and end in December and together with the support of Nippon Paint Malaysia, outLOUD Studios will paint one children’s home a month with a colour specially mixed by Nippon Paint Malaysia for outLOUD Studios called “outLOUD Orange”.

“We’re proud to help make a difference,” says Ernie Chen. Chief outLOUD.  “Our industry is like a big community and our business is building online communities.  This program has helped us to help others in reaching out to give back to the individuals in need in the real world communities where we all live – and Nippon Paint Malaysia has responded to this project very generously not only with resources but also time given.”

Nippon Paint Malaysia will be sponsoring Nippon Odour~less premium all-in-1 paint because children’s homes are involved and the company is insistent that quality and safety be the order of the day. Nippon Odour~less premium all-in-1 is the first ever odour-free interior emulsion paint in the market. It’s great for homes because of its near zero Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) which is a major source of indoor air pollution found in most regular interior paints.

In August, outLOUD Studios will kick start the first house painting project done for Rumah K.I.D.S (Kanak-Kanak Ini DiSayangi) an orphanage in Klang housing 40 children.
